Our client is a non-for-profit based in Adelaide city. This is a 12 month fixed-term opportunity with the option to go permanent. This client is looking for a Project Support Officer that is interested in learning the skills of a Project Manager.
This is a great opportunity to learn in amongst a small IT team of 12, and work alongside multiple project managers on multiple project streams and gain a lot of experience in a short time. We are looking for someone who understands the Microsoft Suite, is experienced in project tracking, risk registers and maitaining gap charts.
This is a non-for-profit in a relaxed culture, a small environment with a lot of opportunities to learn new responsibilities.
Role Overview:
The Project Support Officer provides essential support to the Head of Project Management to ensure the successful delivery of the project portfolio. To be successful in this role you will need to have deep understanding and experience with project management and reporting processes and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the monthly project portfolio dashboard (tracking the status of active projects, key risks, opportunities, financial etc)
- Collaborate with project delivery leads to collect project status updates to inform the project portfolio dashboard.
- Maintain portfolio risk registers, including scheduling regular reviews and updates.
- Provide support to project delivery leads to assist with project management and procurement activities.
- Assist with general project management office administrative tasks such as updates to project management artefacts and templates.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Support Officer including the following:
- Developing and maintaining program or project management dashboards and artefacts.
- Maintaining program or project risk registers, including scheduling reviews and facilitating risk meetings.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of tools including Microsoft SharePoint/Teams
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and ability to build respectful relationships with stakeholders of different levels of seniority.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities.
