Are you an experienced Systems Engineer with a passion for supporting Australia's Defence capabilities? We're working with a Defence client in Canberra, currently seeking a Systems Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of advanced warfighting network solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of engineering activities aligned with project milestones for Navy platforms.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and other Defence units to ensure technical alignment and successful delivery.
- Progress and manage Requests for Problem Resolution and support platform integration through the process.
- Partner with Installation and Engineering Managers to ensure timely approvals and readiness for deployments.
- Identify and manage technical risks, challenges, and opportunities across assigned platforms.
- Provide expert-level engineering guidance, control processes, and documentation to support project outcomes.
- Support cost management through analysis of contractor quotes and survey assessments.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience working within Defence projects as a Systems Engineer, with a strong focus on technical project delivery.
- Proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and manage complex engineering documentation.
- Experience in strategic planning, cost analysis, and risk identification within Defence or similarly structured environments.
- RAN platform knowledge and experience is nice to have.
- Experience working within the Defence maritime environment is desirable.
- Applicants must hold a valid NV1 or NV2 security clearance to be considered for this position.
