Job description

Cyber Security Software Developer

We are currently seeking experienced Software Developers to join our dynamic team at the forefront of cybersecurity and intelligence operations. This role involves contributing to effective capability solutions while being accountable for interpreting specifications and technical designs.

As a Software Developer, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and modifying code for software applications. This includes constructing technical specifications from a business functional model, executing tests, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, integrate, and document software capability to align with business needs.
  • Provide support, maintenance, and enhancement to existing software, ensuring continuous application availability.
  • Conduct thorough testing and review to ensure the quality and security of software.
  • Collaborate with business and product owners to understand and develop user requirements using agile development methods.
  • Document technical processes in adherence to organisational policies, fostering knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Undertake System Administration and other activities to support team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of software development experience.
  • Proven expertise in design, build, and deployment using Python.
  • Experience in Cyber Security or related domains is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX environments for software deployment.
  • Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows administration is desirable.
  • Proficiency in automation and deployment tools is a plus.

Security Clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 1.
