Job description

Primary Role Objective:

The RD Writer is tasked with providing a comprehensive suite of services encompassing job analysis, position description drafting, and job evaluation to effectively support the Org Design & Change team and other business functions as needed. This role entails offering specialised guidance and developing processes, tools, and resources to ensure the establishment and maintenance of governance and quality standards for position descriptions and job evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute position description drafting to meet organisational change requirements, ensuring alignment with the PSC role description capability framework.
  • Engage with business stakeholders, including subject matter experts (SMEs), to gather, evaluate, and analyse job-related information. Translate findings into precise and meaningful position descriptions reflecting business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other P&C departments to ensure adherence to frameworks, naming conventions, alignment of common roles, and provision of updated role descriptions for inclusion in the RD library.
  • Offer expert advice on proposed job design concepts and position descriptions. Assist in devising options to meet business needs, organisational design principles, and corporate compliance standards.
  • Conduct research and analysis on job-related aspects, including market comparisons and potential organisational impacts/relatives of job evaluations. Provide insights to support position design options and facilitate management decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organisational Development, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in job analysis, position description drafting, and job evaluation processes.
  • Thorough understanding of organisational design principles and corporate compliance standards.
  • Strong analytic and research capabilities, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
