Job description

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be joining the Payments Projects team which is largely responsible for the delivery of projects relating to SWIFT/International and High Value Payments.

This role is based in Sydney and the chosen candidate must attend the Kent Street office 4 days a week.

What will you do?

  • Review existing business requirement documents to ensure requirements are adequately defined.
  • Seek clarification to ensure sufficient information is provided for solution design/build.
  • Develop technical requirements (Functional Specification Document) to meet the business requirements which includes field mappings for MT to MX message translations.
  • Work with the GTS business, AMH, ISO and Fusion GPP projects to define business requirements and support the solution build, test and implementation.
  • Plan and conduct workshops to discuss and define requirements.
  • Interpret Architecture documents and compile technical functional and non-functional specification documents in conjunction with the BAU Technical Design team.
  • Contribute to end-user documentation and training to enable end users to maximise value from the solution.
  • Assist in joint business and technology integrated acceptance testing.
  • Effectively handle, escalate and follow-up stakeholder compliments, issues, or complaints, using judgement to resolve concerns on the spot.

What do I need?

To be set up for success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Communication & Stakeholder management skills (Mandatory)
  • Understanding of the Payments domain and experience in Payments (Mandatory)
  • Business analysis skills and experience (Mandatory)
  • Documentation skills and experience (Mandatory)
  • Test skills and experience to review test scenarios and participate in defect resolution (Mandatory)
  • IT BA skills, experience, and attitude to understand business requirements, translate them into functional requirements (Essential)
  • Integration knowledge and strong experience- This includes analysis, understanding and documenting integration requirements (Essential)
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Swift standards (MT and MX) (Good to have)
  • GPP Classic / FGPP knowledge & experience (Good to have)
