Primary Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the evolution of the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) to maintain its status as a leading-edge solution.
- Showcase a comprehensive understanding of contemporary software delivery methodologies, emphasising product orientation, agility, and DevOps principles.
- Lead diverse teams, bringing together Business Analysts, Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers, Visualisation Developers, Data Modellers, and Test Analysts.
- Skillfully manage external delivery partners, ensuring seamless collaboration throughout project delivery.
- Enforce data management best practices to ensure the security and integrity of our information.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills and a proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Uphold a keen attention to detail, ensuring the consistent delivery of business value throughout project execution.
Requirements:
Essential Criteria:
- Proven track record in delivering modern data platform implementation projects within large enterprises, coupled with an understanding of associated risks and ongoing technical challenges.
- Leadership experience guiding data engineering teams within a large organisation.
- Demonstrated success in delivering cloud-based data platforms, utilising technologies such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, and PowerBI.
- Familiarity with projects within a Government Owned Corporation (GOC).
- Expertise in modern software delivery approaches, with a focus on a product-oriented, agile, and DevOps mindset.
Desirable Criteria:
- AWS cloud certification, especially in architecture, development, and data analytics.
- Comfort with cross-functional and multidisciplinary team dynamics.
- Proven ability to manage issues, risks, and dependencies impacting or having the potential to impact project delivery.
- Knowledge and practical application of data management principles and best practices.
