Our government client is requiring the expertise of an Instrumentation Specialist. Currently seeking to appoint a Technical Specialist to work on an exciting and forward-looking project alongside the Operational Technology & Design Team.
In this role, you will play a key part in the assessment, procurement, and implementation of new technologies to enhance Bathymetric, Aerial, and Terrestrial capabilities across the agency. You will work closely with field officers, technical specialists, and stakeholders to evaluate technology solutions, liaise with vendors, and assist in the procurement and deployment of equipment.
You will also be responsible for drafting technical reports, operating procedures, user guides, and training materials to support the adoption of new technologies. Additionally, you will provide project administration support, including documentation management and logistics coordination.
Essential requirements:
- Familiarity with survey instrumentation and field equipment or similar/equivalent experience
- Strong research and analytical skills to assess emerging technologies and their suitability
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation, including user guides and reports
- Strong organisational skills to support procurement, logistics and project administration
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical experts, field staff and external vendors
- Current NSW Driver's License.
