Company Overview:
A prominent financial institution, one of the leading players among Australia's major banking entities, is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge financial solutions. We are currently in search of a skilled Technical Writer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the deployment of our latest offering, 'Online Pay'.

Position Overview:
The Technical Writer will be tasked with meticulously documenting the implementation process of 'Online Pay' for merchants, with a particular emphasis on its technical facets. This role involves close collaboration with the change management team within the Merchant Payments division. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in API integration, technical writing, and adeptness in utilizing publishing tools like Confluence. We seek a self-driven individual capable of swiftly grasping technical intricacies and autonomously producing top-notch documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to comprehend the technical requisites for implementing 'Online Pay' for merchants.
  • Document the step-by-step implementation process, elucidating API integration procedures with clarity suitable for diverse audiences.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive API documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Document the user experience (UX) on the dashboard for the E-commerce payment gateway.
  • Work in tandem with the Agile Delivery team, leveraging tools such as Jira for effective project management.
  • Generate collateral materials pertinent to the implementation of 'Online Pay', including user guides and training resources.
  • Offer assistance to merchants throughout the implementation process, as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer, with a focus on documenting API integration processes.
  • Profound understanding of RESTful JSON APIs and prior experience with API documentation.
  • Proficiency in publishing tools such as Confluence; familiarity with Markdown is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and proficiency with Agile Delivery tools like Jira.
  • Previous exposure to the Payments or Banking industry is advantageous but not obligatory.
  • Outstanding communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across multifunctional teams.
  • Self-motivated disposition with the ability to work independently and adeptly prioritize tasks.
