Job description

Our client, one of the largest government departments require a UX Designer who will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to research, design and assist in delivering exceptional customer and user experiences.

The role is user centric and requires solid user-centred design values, principles, and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with members of the Digital Portfolio Team to build, implement, release, support and maintain digital product suite including facilitating workshops, maintaining documentation and showcases.
  • Apply d technical skills in user experience and user interface design, including exploring the issue, researching, ideating, designing, testing, and measuring.
  • Ability to use different methodologies and tools to solve different challenges.
  • Lead user and customer research to inform design work and to iterate existing experience artefacts such as personas or customer journeys.
  • Support viable and sustainable product solutions from design through discovery, framing and iterating development and continuous improvement within a Human-Centered Design (HCD) framework. Including but not limited to UI design, content modelling/design, information architecture, web standards and analytics design.
  • Support usability, accessibility and user acceptance testing of digital services to ensure we provide users with a great experience while ensuring all requirements and guidelines are met.

Key Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive experience in designing solutions for digital products or services.
  • Experience with managing design systems in Figma, and strong UX knowledge across iOS, Android, and desktop.
  • Experience with typography and layout.
  • Solid experience planning and conducting UX research.
  • Use of project tools such as Jira, confluence, and
