Applications Support Engineer
Contract: 12 Months + Extensions Likely
Location: Melbourne (preferred) | Sydney | Brisbane | Canberra
Clearance: NV1 required (Baseline may be considered)
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week)
We're seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer to join the team supporting mission-critical systems. You'll troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), contribute to continuous improvement, and participate in 24/7 support coverage.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
Strong in Java/J2EE, with knowledge of Microsoft, Python, PowerShell
Experience with on-prem & cloud hosting, monitoring, and capacity management
Perform root cause analysis, issue resolution, and technical documentation
Mentor junior team members and support process improvements
Security:
You must be an Australian Citizen with active NV1 clearance (or Baseline with eligibility for upgrade).
