Job description

We are currently seeking two experienced and highly capable Senior Business Analysts for a dynamic 12-month engagement within a major public-sector environment. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, excellent stakeholder management, and advanced documentation and analysis skills.

Working on complex infrastructure and systems-focused initiatives, these positions require individuals who can seamlessly bridge business and technical domains to ensure successful outcomes.



Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, and vendors to elicit, document, and validate detailed business and technical requirements.

  • Create high-quality artefacts such as process maps, business cases, business rules, and functional specifications tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Conduct in-depth process analysis and develop recommendations for optimisation and automation.

  • Support change impact assessments, testing (including UAT), and traceability from requirements through delivery.

  • Translate complex technical infrastructure discussions into actionable business insights.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement activities using structured approaches (e.g., interviews, workshops).

  • Operate effectively in both Agile and Waterfall environments.



Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure domains: cloud computing (Azure, AWS), networking, servers, storage, IAM, and cybersecurity.

  • Demonstrated experience in business systems analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and data-informed decision-making.

  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Miro, Excel, and Power BI.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills across a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical design documents and architecture diagrams.

  • Proven success in facilitating alignment between business and technology teams.



Mandatory Requirements

  • Ability to pass a criminal history check.

  • Experience working with IT infrastructure teams and translating technical requirements.

  • Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (incident, change, and problem management).

  • Understanding of infrastructure change impacts (e.g., upgrades, system migrations).
