Permanent role with a global consultancy on-site at a blue-chip client
Currently WFH -- Offices in the Hills District -- Join a growing data team
About the role and organisation
A major worldwide consultancy working on-site at a blue-chip Australian end client in the Hill District of Sydney.
Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):
Design, develop, document, analyse, create, test and modify software programs
Consult with users and stakeholders to determine software or systems functional specifications
Document the functionality and requirements
Research, evaluate and recommend solutions and appropriate technology to meet user's needs
Must be able to execute on tasks given
To be considered you will have the following skills and experience:
Tech Stack that includes: PL/SQL, Python, Apache Spark (all required) and cloud experience (AWS)
2+ years experience in programming Python and/or Javascript applications (and libraries) while maintaining production code
Experience writing, fine-tuning, and maintaining SQL queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Demonstrated working knowledge with relational and non-relational databases
Proven experience with technical requirements analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development, and data modelling (Normal forms, dimensional modelling, etc.)
An understanding of the ETL process
Experience working with data tools such as Apache Spark, etc.
Additional beneficial experience includes: various types of testing, GIT, Regex, BI tools
