Job description

Are you an experienced Oracle DBA with a passion for performance tuning, automation, and system reliability? We're looking for a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in managing and optimizing mission-critical databases in a secure environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Install, upgrade, and configure Oracle databases across environments
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, tune SQL queries for maximum efficiency
  • Manage backups and implement robust recovery strategies
  • Apply security patches and manage database updates
  • Handle user access, roles, and security permissions
  • Maintain accurate database documentation
  • Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to align on database needs
  • Automate tasks using Shell, Python, PL/SQL, or similar scripting languages

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience
  • Strong command of SQL, PL/SQL, RMAN, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Experience with backup and recovery planning
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, or Azure
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and performance tuning
  • Understanding of ITIL practices or prior experience in ITIL-driven environments
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
  • Exposure to DevOps tools like Ansible or Terraform for automation
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
  • Baseline security clearance is mandatory for this role
