Job description

THE ROLE

This Government Department is seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Analyst with extensive experience in both Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle to join their team !

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the Oracle to Dynamics migration project, ensuring a seamless and successful transition of the data assets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of migration processes, from data mapping and transformation to validation and integration, with a proven track record of delivering accurate and secure data migrations. Your expertise will be essential in minimising risks, maintaining data integrity, and enabling our organisation to fully leverage the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Migration Planning: Develop comprehensive data migration strategies aligned with project time lines and business requirements.
  • Data Mapping and Transformation: Create detailed data mapping and transformation rules to ensure accurate migration to Dynamics 365.
  • Data Extraction and Loading: Utilise ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data into Dynamics 365.
  • Data Validation and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough validation checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve data-related issues with minimal disruption to business operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Migration Analyst or similar role.
  • Advanced Database Skills - proficiency in SQL, Oracle, or similar databases
  • Experience with complex or high-volume data migration projects.
  • Relevant Certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
  • Experience with Agile methodology (Scrum) would be beneficial.
