Database Administrator - CapabilityOne

Location: ACT

Are you an experienced Database Administrator seeking a challenging role? Play a pivotal role in enhancing CapabilityOne (C1), a crucial portfolio management and decision support tool.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Database Management Services:
    • Oversee administration, monitoring, configuration, upgrading, and installation of Microsoft SQL Server databases for CapabilityOne.
    • Execute regular and CapabilityOne database backups, ensuring support for recovery needs.
    • Maintain optimal performance and availability of databases storing information for CapabilityOne.
    • Develop and maintain procedures and documentation for CapabilityOne databases.
    • Design and implement changes to CapabilityOne databases to accommodate new information requirements.
  2. Support and Guidance:
    • Provide expert advice, guidance, and assistance to team members, APS, and third parties as required.
  3. Data Analysis:
    • Evaluate and develop Data Analysis models and procedures.
  4. Troubleshooting:
    • Monitor and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot any Database Replication issues.

Experience required:

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator 2 years plus
  • NV2 clearance
  • Extensive experience in managing Microsoft SQL Server databases, including administration, monitoring, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with SQL Server performance features, such as In-Memory OLTP.
  • Proficiency in SSIS and SSRS.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot Database Replication issues effectively.
  • Experience in evaluating and developing Data Analysis models and procedures.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Reporting Tools such as Cognos 11.
