We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our databases to support the department's operations and strategic initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of Queensland's transportation systems.
The Database Administrator will:
* Assist with the database design requirements including timeseries, logs and audit
* Provide subject matter expertise for Database Server config, build, manage and monitor databases.
* Investigate incidents (including performance issues).
* Perform DB data extracts, reorgs, refreshes, backups and restores.
* Build and maintain operational documentation for database environment.
* Provide support as an escalation point in the support of the database environments.
* Assist in the design and implementation of Database Backup, environment management and business continuity.
* Provide advice and guidance to the project team on data modelling and best practise use of database products
* Perform release and change management activities
* Other duties as required.
* Current and varied experience across public and private sector is highly desirable.
