Job description

Looking for an opportunity to lead IT governance initiatives? We're seeking an IT Governance Specialist to spearhead our client's governance and quality assurance efforts. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and upholding the Governance framework.

You'll also play a key role in establishing and maintaining branch governance standards, policies, and procedures, as well as drafting and updating to ensure clarity and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of robust IT governance frameworks tailored to the organisation's needs.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to departments in understanding and adhering to IT governance policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of IT governance practices.
  • Develop comprehensive performance reports to track the effectiveness of IT governance initiatives.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven track record in undertaking governance and quality assurance activities within large and complex organisations.
  • Knowledge of local and international trends in higher education, particularly in IT governance approaches.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and thrive in a complex working environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
  • Exposure to quality assurance frameworks, including policy creation, procedure development, and benchmarking.
  • High-level analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills to address complex governance challenges.
