About the role
Java Engineer is a highly specialised role responsible for developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application software.
What you will be doing:
- Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs using Java and related frameworks (such as Spring).
- Test, document, and secure the APIs using various methodologies and standards.
- Work with Cassandra DB for data access and manipulation.
- Deliver high-quality code using best practices and design patterns.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders in a complex project environment.
- Implement bamboo pipelines for CI/CD and automation of Cassandra configuration.
Responsibilities
- Computer Science (or closely related degree) with a major in software engineering or equivalent.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Proven results in programming and applications design in a medium or large enterprise.
- Strong experience in Java as well as experience or exposure to the following Python, Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, and Shell Scripting.
