Job description

Our client is undertaking a digital transformation towards becoming a utility of the future by implementing a fully digital system where their systems and data, and therefore people, are better connected.

The Division provides and supports information and communications technology products, services and solutions for the company and its subsidiary companies.

The Learning Coordinator is responsible for prioritising, planning and coordinating the delivery of courses and programs including the development and implementation of schedules for training courses and programs for the project.

This is a contract until end of August 2022 and will be based in Newstead, Brisbane.

The role will consist of but will not be limited to the following activities:

  • Provide project management support for projects or components of projects, including task management, training administration and logistics support to the portfolio in conjunction with project leads and the learning and capability team
  • Plan and co-ordinate project program delivery by developing and implementing training schedules including enrolments, trainer facilitation, room bookings and monitoring of training mailbox
  • Liaises and consults with business and project stakeholders to ensure quality resolutions balancing the more complex needs of business requirements; proactively manages escalated complaints/issues, and may include impact assessments and conflict resolution
  • Identifies and recommends improvements to existing processes, and exercises initiative in their application and has scope for some rearrangement of the sequence of work
  • Undertakes a wide range of tasks and roles in a variety of contexts, planning, prioritising and utilising judgement, to define a range of options while identifying risk factors and solutions to deliver outcomes on time
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge and support for the delivery of online courses from the Learning Management System.
  • Generate, analyse and interpret complex data and reports, ensure accurate data and record management, and ensure proper archiving procedures are followed to meet audit requirements, whilst maintaining confidentiality in relation to training records, intellectual property and commercially sensitive documents.
  • Administer processes for the acquisition, production and allocation/assignment of training resources (i.e. trainers, course materials, facilities, plant and equipment) ensuring training delivery meets legislative, cost efficiency and quality assurance requirements

Skills required

  • Demonstrated skills in consulting and engaging stakeholders to understand how a learning intervention can achieve the desired business outcome.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in apply learning frameworks, including SAP related learning suite of tools such as Enable Now for designing and delivering quality learning interventions for multi-platform delivery.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to liaise, lead, influence and engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes through a learning intervention/s.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Registered Training Organisation (RTO) quality standards, Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and business/organisational standards.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records for audit and compliance.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritise and manage personal and team deadlines to achieve outcomes.
  • Intermediate level knowledge and application of MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including persuasiveness, assertiveness and sensitivity to others point of view in order to influence behaviour, change opinion or turn a situation around.
  • Strong organisation, planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information in a discrete and professional manner, and interact impartially and equitably.
