Job description

  • Both contract (6mths) OR permanent will be considered
  • Can be based either in Melbourne OR Sydney - onsite work is essential
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Only candidates that are able to gain or currently hold a current Australian Federal Government Security Clearance at Baseline will be considered for this role

Due to our clients continuous growth, an opening for a Mainframe Security professional to support multiple clients has become available..

Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with the Regional and Global Security team
  • Adhere to both customer and corporate standards and responsibilities
  • Participate in the creation of documentation such as process and procedural documentation
  • Take the lead in developing process improvement
  • Administers security policies to control access to systems
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Participate in vendor and platform upgrades
  • Management of SSL Certificates in Mainframe environment
  • Complete cyclic compliance activities
  • Perform ACF2/RACF application and agency level access control to meet access management business requirements to ensure compliance with industry and federal government security standards
  • Available for off-hours escalations as 2nd and 3rd tier of on-call support
  • Serve as a technical liaison and subject matter expert in business interactions
  • Provide 'level 3' support and problem management guidance for the platform team and escalate issues to vendors/manufacturers for technical support as needed
  • Participate in audits

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Cyber Security, including experience in Mainframe security
  • Strong knowledge in ACF2/RACF security Architecture
  • Sound knowledge of Unix in z/OS
  • Sound working knowledge of NetMaster/MAI and SOLVE
  • Experience with JCL, SAS, Clist and/or REXX
  • Experience with CICS/IMS/DB2/MQ a plus
  • Understanding of ADABAS
  • Knowledge of CONTROLM processes
  • Experience in Mainframe certificate management
  • Experience in upgrades
  • Experience with working with Auditors - specifically SOX AND SOC1
  • Working knowledge of Ticketing Systems - preference is SNOW
  • The candidate should be comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite of tools; Excel experience is essential
  • Understanding of Essential 8 standards
  • Relevant Information Security certification (CISSP/CCNA)
