Job description

Join our highly regarded Client as a Senior Network Engineer and take charge of a diverse array of technical tasks, spanning from networking essentials like switching and wireless setups to vital aspects like firewall management and cybersecurity. In this role, you'll provide both on-site and remote systems engineering services to our wide-ranging clientele. As a crucial member of our Business-As-Usual (BAU) Service Desk team, you'll offer your expertise, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction. Your role will extend to being the go-to person for networking matters within our national team.

Your responsibilities will encompass servicing various vendors and technologies, excelling in Windows and/or Apple-centric technology support. From offering general application assistance to troubleshooting network connectivity issues and managing user accounts, your expertise will be instrumental. Collaborating closely with our BAU Team, you'll manage client expectations efficiently and resolve intricate technical issues promptly. Additionally, overseeing endpoint software installations, licenses, and user device setups will be part of your routine, along with meticulous documentation of time and technical details in our ticketing systems.

What we're looking for:

- Substantial experience as a Senior Network Engineer within a Service Desk/BAU team or similar environment.
- A collaborative spirit, driven to succeed as part of a team and eager to share knowledge with colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
- Strong time management skills, adept at meeting deadlines effectively.
- Passion for IT, coupled with robust problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Desired technical qualifications:

- Extensive experience in network troubleshooting, preferably at Level 3 or higher.
- Mandatory Fortinet NSE4 Certification.
- Highly desirable: Fortinet NSE5, NSE6, and NSE7 certifications.
- Proficiency in networking fundamentals, firewalls, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet products such as FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, etc.
- Deep understanding of Layer 2 to 4 protocols.
- Familiarity with other vendors like Aruba, Juniper, and Cisco is highly advantageous.
