Job description

Our client is Not for profit company working closely with NSW Government is currently looking for a Project Manager who oversees the coordination of diverse project teams and collaborates closely with both business and technical stakeholders to successfully deliver projects of various sizes and complexities.



Essential Criteria

  • Deliver complex IT projects in multi-stakeholder environments, with experience in application development.
  • Manage SAAS based projects.
  • Manage all project lifecycle phases, including planning, design, development, and implementation.
  • Conduct project health checks, developed recovery plans, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Proficient in business analysis, SDLC, testing, transition, and change management.
  • Establish standard processes, templates, and tools for project consistency.
  • Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders in collaborative settings.
  • Manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Skill in writing business cases, formal documentation, and detailed reports.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the quality, professionalism, and timeliness of project documentation, including business cases, project briefs, project plans, reports, and other relevant materials.
  • Communicating clearly with all project team members, ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities through both face-to-face and written communications, and establishing an effective governance and decision-making structure for each project.
  • Delivering projects successfully by adhering to best practices and meeting agreed specifications, timelines, budgets, and quality standards, within the scope of the position's responsibilities.
  • Providing strong leadership and management to project teams, fostering professional relationships staff and staff from participating institutions.
  • Leading the development and implementation of best practice frameworks and standards to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all stakeholders information as required, ensuring discretion in all matters.



Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding of the tertiary and/or secondary education industry, including its structures, processes, and challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, with expertise in initiating, planning, executing, and reporting across various programs of work.
  • Possession of professional certifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile, or PMP qualifications.
