Job description

The core purpose of the IT Project Manager role is to manage the end-to-end delivery of internal global technology projects within organisation. The role is responsible for mitigating delivery risk to the organisation through ensuring that the solutions we implement meet expected business outcomes, are fit for purpose, future-proofed and are ready to be supported.

This role may deliver one single project or be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently.

Experience & Expertise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business or related field
  • Project Management Qualifications (Prince 2, PMBOK)

Professional Experience

  • 7+ years as an ICT Project Manager
  • Experience leading enterprise level rollouts / deployments.
  • Very strong stakeholder skills in dynamic environments.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure and VMware technologies, data center and office on-premise infrastructure and services, workload migration to the cloud.
  • Experience working across a range of technologies e.g. Servers and Applications, Networking, Cloud, Office Suite/O365.
  • Strong commercial acumen - experienced in negotiating and driving project outcomes through preferred suppliers/partners
  • Understanding of IT systems, how they relate and interact
  • Mentoring & coaching project team members - experience uplifting capability and quality of delivery/championing project management disciplines
  • Ability to lead dispersed and diverse technology teams to deliver continuous value for customers.
  • Disciplined approach to planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring activities against plan and financial reconciliation
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and drive stakeholders to deliver on committed outcomes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to consult and facilitate discussions regarding alternative approaches and to broker consensus across stakeholder teams.
  • Able to create effective team environments for people to innovate and learn.
