Skills and attributes
- Expert in agile values and principles and scrum values and practices
- Experience in facilitating workshops, meetings, work efforts or outcomes. Able to facilitate objectively without solving the team's problem for them
- Demonstrates the ability to apply agile values and scrum practices
- Demonstrates proficiency in guiding others and providing the right level of support. Able to delegate and empower others to do their work
- Good communication skills, especially translating agile core values, principles and scrum value and practices, to ensure the team adheres to and follows them
- Experience in conflict resolution and creative problem solving
- Has influence within the business to resolve impediments and blockers
Responsibilities
- Help team members embrace agile mindset, based on agile values and principles
- Reinforces Scrum and Transformation team level practices
Facilitates:
- Scrum ceremonies: Sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and retrospective
- A healthy intra-team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope
- Monitors and reports on:
- Progress of User Stories and PI objectives
- Risks and blockers
Supports:
- The product owner
- User Story estimating
- Maintaining the sprint board
- Shields the team from interruptions during sprint
- Coordinates dependencies with other teams
Capacity guidance
Dedicated until team is more mature and then can usually drop to 50%, can also act as a team member and execute User Stories if possible
