Security Architect

As a Security Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of secure cloud solutions. You'll be responsible for developing templates, patterns, and advice to guide organizations in making informed risk-based design decisions for their cloud environments. Additionally, you'll lead efforts in secure-by-design and secure-by-default initiatives, contributing to the development of foundational elements and supplementary guidance. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing tailored advice and guidance on secure design principles and security architecture best practices.

Key Requirements:

Essential Criteria:

  1. Demonstrable experience in designing, deploying, and verifying secure cloud solutions.
  2. Possession of relevant technical certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure/Microsoft Security Engineer, or Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert.
  3. Experience managing core Microsoft infrastructure, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune.
  4. Ability to align Microsoft Cloud solutions with security standards.
  5. Proven track record working with a security focus on system design, development, and engineering.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Security Architect or similar role.
  2. Experience working within a DevOps or Agile environment to deliver cloud-based projects.
  3. Proficiency in security threat modeling and secure development lifecycles.
  4. Ability to conduct research on new technologies and provide guidance to stakeholders.

Working Arrangements:

  • Full-time onsite position in Canberra, requiring 5 days a week, up to 40 hours.

Security Clearance:

  • Must have Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance.

Contract Details:

  • Initial contract duration: 12 months
  • Extension Term: 2 x 12 months
