About the role
The role of a JavaScript developer encompasses various responsibilities related to designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, websites, and other software products.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead the design and implementation of responsive React-based user interfaces for internal and external users.
- Lead and mentor a team while collaborating with multiple data interfaces for data exchange.
- Develop rich applications using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript and ReactJS.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Java 11 and cloud-based development environments.
- Utilize experience with API and micro-service architecture to enhance application functionality.
- Guide other developers and technical staff on best practices for UI development.
- Review work from other developers to ensure consistent implementation of designs, techniques, and tools.
- Collaborate effectively with developers and staff across technical and non-technical teams in a cross-functional Agile environment.
- Cross-skill team members to enhance overall team capabilities.
- Participate in management discussions regarding team performance, outcomes, and training needs.
- Collaborate with management on cross-team designs and guide AUSTRAC on the selection and implementation of plugins, extensions, and toolkits.
Essential requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- years of experience in frontend development with a focus on ReactJS.
- Proven experience leading teams and projects, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Solid experience developing applications using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript and ReactJS.
- Proficiency in Java 11 and cloud-based development environments.
- Experience with API and micro-service architecture.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to mentor and guide team members on UI development best practices.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- Minimum Baseline Clearance is required.
