Job description


The Senior Policy Officer contributes policy and project management expertise to the design and delivery of strategy, policy and programs to modernise and transform government services through accessible, simple and secure solutions.


  • Develop business cases, proposals and plans for cyber security policy, programs and projects
  • Undertake research, analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation activities for cyber security policy and programs
  • Coordinate and contribute to policy papers/advice, standards, guidelines, submissions, briefs, notes, strategic plans, directions and programs to support achievement of the government's and division's objectives.
  • Actively engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including building and maintaining strong partnerships to achieve the objectives of the Division, Department and public sector more broadly.
  • Provide high level advice to internal and external stakeholders on cyber security strategy and policy, including emerging issues and opportunities arising from cyber security opportunities. Contributing to the development of models of government business and influencing planning and change processes within government portfolios to ensure strategies are implemented in accordance with the SA Government's strategic intentions.
