Job description

Our major Qld Government client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join their team on a long term contract.

In this critical role, you will engage with various stakeholders across the business to design and implement scalable, cloud-enabled solutions that meet the ever changing needs of our clients technical landscape.

As a Solution Architect, you will:

  • Lead architecture reviews and provide recommendations for enhancements across various solutions.
  • Assess and advise on the reduction of technical debt and transitions between private and public cloud platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend strategies for transitioning to cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop roadmaps and patterns for new and existing solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver specific initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Implementation: Design and implement on-premises, cloud, and hybrid solutions, with a strong preference for Microsoft technology stacks.
  • Architecture Reviews & Recommendations: Conduct reviews and provide recommendations to reduce technical debt and facilitate transitions across private and public cloud platforms.
  • Cloud Transition Assessments: Evaluate and recommend strategies for transitioning to cloud-based solutions.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop roadmaps and patterns for new and existing solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic plans to support efficient reuse of solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of five years in Solution Architecture, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing complex solutions using Microsoft technology stacks.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in developing roadmaps, patterns, and ensuring adherence to enterprise and solution architecture standards.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple concurrent initiatives with high levels of relationship, communication, and negotiation skills.

Skills required:

  • olid experience with TOGAF, ITIL, and Development Frameworks, including associated Release and Change control methods.
  • \Knowledge of developing trends in solution architecture and implementation recommendations.
  • Ability to establish assessment criteria for the appropriate selection of systems architecture components and coordinate design activities.
