About the role
This role primarily focuses on developing and supporting custom-built Oracle-based full-stack applications, as well as various vendor-supplied systems and tools. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Oracle database and application development, particularly with Oracle Application Express (APEX), PL/SQL, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. They will collaborate with the development team on large-scale projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the team to design, develop, and manage internal projects.
- Build and maintain applications utilizing Oracle 12c, Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
- Create and manage Linux scripts and other back-end processes.
- Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to collect project requirements and provide regular updates.
- Offer training and support to end-users.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of UAT test plans.
- Keep system, user, and technical documentation up-to-date.
Essential Criteria:
- At least 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing applications using Oracle APEX (version 19 or later).
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience with Oracle RDBMS (12c or higher), including SQL and PL/SQL.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Proven track record of successfully deploying projects to production.
- Experience with Linux shell scripting.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Background in the telecommunications industry, specifically in an OSS team.
- Experience with configuring application and web servers, such as Oracle ORDS, Tomcat, and NGINX.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python and Java.
