Job description

Within this role, you will be working on site one of the largest banks in Australia. You will enjoy working with a team of DBAs who you will learn and leverage from to improve your skills. You will eventually delve into cloud transformation. You will be given support to complete your work whilst operating on the most sophisticated technology in the market.

Essential

  • Experience in installing, maintaining, and supporting SQL Server (2008 R2R2/2008/2005) and have handled around 6000 databases in all the environment including production and clustered environment
  • Exposure to SQL server 2012. Largest Database supported being 7 TB.
  • Experience in production support activities
  • Experience in performance tuning activities and have excellent trouble shooting skills within a large environment
  • Experience in installation of SQL Server 2008 R2R2, SQL server 2008 and SQL server 2005 (all edition), components of SQL server (Integration Services, Analysis Services), installation of SQL Server Cluster and service packs
  • Experience in migration and up gradation of SQL server databases from SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2R2.

Desirable

  • Experience in Oracle to SQL Server migration
  • Experience in SQL server consolidation projects
  • Have good working knowledge on SQLSQL development (TSQLTSQL) coding and SSIS administration and have set up Reporting services (SSRS)
  • Experience in controlling of security and access to all database systems and have experience in assessing auditing environmental standards, capacity planning and ensuring best practices.
