Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Location: Brisbane CBD

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent, ASAP start



About the Role:

Our client, a global leader in the mining sector, is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong background in LTE and Wi-Fi networking to support an exciting, large-scale project.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert input and hands-on assistance for the deployment of LTE and 5G networks, including Remote Area Networks.
  • Lead LTE projects, including new tower builds, additional sectors, carrier expansion, and tower relocations.
  • Oversee the replacement of outdated network infrastructure with LTE and 5G technology, ensuring successful installation and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with on-site teams and vendors to ensure smooth deployment and commissioning of LTE solutions.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Technical Engineers to manage network changes and ensure the delivery of project milestones.
  • Ensure proper design, configuration, and implementation of LTE designs using Nokia hardware.
  • Create and deliver high-level and low-level designs, technical diagrams, cable schedules, and other project documentation.



Requirements:

  • Proven experience in LTE deployment and networking, with expertise in Nokia LTE equipment and Private LTE.
  • Strong background in networking technologies, with the ability to engage effectively with on-site teams, subcontractors, and Project Managers to manage technical deployment and commissioning.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in governance roles, or the interest to transition into a project management role.
  • Wi-Fi expertise being a strong plus.
