Actuarial Analyst

Contract - 6 months | Adelaide CBD | Hybrid Work Model

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an Actuarial Analyst (or similar) to join our client. Reporting to the Head of Actuarial Analysis. You'll be instrumental in assisting with the assessment and review of major defined benefit funds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support actuarial assessments as part of the triennial review of defined benefit schemes, including major public sector funds.
  • Conduct research and analyse complex data to inform internal reports and senior management briefings.
  • Prepare and cleanse data for modelling and actuarial analysis.
  • Contribute to programming and statistical modelling using tools such as R, Python, or VBA.

What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in a numerate or finance-related field.
  • At least two foundational actuarial subjects completed through the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent.
  • Membership (or eligibility) with the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
  • Experience in research and statistical analysis, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong programming/modelling capabilities (R, Python, VBA preferred).
