Job description

This role is responsible for the support and development on the Digital Platform and associated systems.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Front-End web development and support of the Digital platform using Adobe Experience Manager, custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Leverage SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) standards and procedures for delivery consistency using automation tools to support speed and quality of outcomes.
  • Adopt DEVOPS set of principles (where appropriate and relevant to the systems) to enable design, delivery, test, and Level 2/3 production support of systems
  • Develop and maintain close business system owner engagement for the delivery of project and BAU initiatives.
  • Adhere to IT Strategy and Architecture standards.
  • Work collaboratively across the Technology division for the design, delivery, and support of supported solutions.

Knowledge, technical capabilities, qualifications and accreditations:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented techniques, design patterns and frameworks
  • Strong technical expertise in website development and support utilising HTML, CSS, and
  • JavaScript
  • Experience working with jQuery, AngularJS and Vue
  • Experience in developing components using HTML Template Language (HTL) with Adobe Experience Manager
  • Knowledge of ExtJS Library and creating custom widgets in AEM
  • Knowledge of Ruby, Middleman & Partials would be beneficial
  • Experience with performance optimization best practices and utilising tools for analysing performance
  • Strong experience with cross browser/device responsive development
  • Experience in working in a DevOps culture and practice including continuous integration and deployment.
  • Working in and an understanding of working in an agile environment such as Scrum
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Strong communication both verbal and written with the ability to interpret customer business needs and translate into application and operational requirements
