Job description

Our client, one of New South Wales largest utilities, is currently seeking the skills of an Agile Business Analyst to join their team. Supported by a great manager and team, you will get to work on several large projects which will keep it interesting for you!

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process.
  • Possesses conflict resolution skills and should focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty, and respect.
  • Forecasting the deliverable for each iteration based on evidence and team's input.
  • Expert in estimation and planning. Knows how to create useful, reliable, and practical plans for development projects.
  • Should be a good coach in Agile practices. S/he can coach individuals and interactions over processes and tools.
  • Ability to conduct and participate in Agile ceremonies
  • Ability to ensure the correct use of scrum process & should track and remove impediments.

Skills /Competencies:

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices.
  • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
  • Knowledge about Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.

Preferred

  • Good skills to coach team how to follow agile scrum, familiarise team with common development practices, Service oriented environments, and Agile practices.
  • Know about the value of metrics and incremental delivery.
  • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.
