Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Broadcom Data Centre Security Engineer with an active NV1 Security clearance. This role is open for Australian citizens with an NV1 who are located in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne.

  • Contract role until 30th June 2025 with 2x12 month extension.
  • Must hold an NV1 Security Clearance.
  • Be located in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne.
  • Hybrid working model (3 days in the office and 2 days from home).
  • Paxus pays weekly.

The Broadcom Symantec Data Centre Security engineer will have the ability to provide detail design for optimised solution, improve the current implementation of Data Centre Security and guide the team on end to end best practices.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience using Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Applications Packager, Rapid 7,Broadcom Data Centre Security Engineer
  • Perform BAU operations, maintenance and management of Broadcom DCS.
  • Planning, scheduling, and implementing periodical patch, bug fixes and major system upgrades for Broadcom DCS.
  • Document technical knowledge in the knowledge database (Standard Operating Procedures), update detailed design and as built documentation.

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Have minimum of 3+ years' experience in the daily operations and management of Broadcom DCS, including but not limited to identify, isolating and resolving the root cause of the technical support issues, implementing daily health checks and configuring / managing reporting and knowledge transfer to other support staff.
  • Strong technical understanding of Broadcom DCS, including configuring and optimising the product.
  • Strong understanding of the Essential Eight Application Control mitigation strategy, and the applicable Information Security Manual (ISM) controls, and how to implement them within Broadcom DCS.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and implementing periodical patch, bug fixes and major system upgrades for Broadcom DCS.
  • Experience in upgrading from Broadcom DCS version 6.7.x to 6.9.x
