Background:
A government organisation is embarking on a range of project activities and is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support these activities. This role specifically requires experience in government projects, preferably in anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime domains, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Engage and consult with business stakeholders for analysis of business requirements, functional requirements, and business change impacts within the context of government projects, with a focus on AML and financial crime.
- Produce relevant project lifecycle documentation such as business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and legislative reforms.
- Prioritize and document business and functional specification of requirements with meticulous attention to detail, particularly emphasizing AML and financial crime prevention measures.
- Analyze business requirements specification and progress business issues, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to government standards.
- Conduct business analysis planning and monitoring, ensuring effective coordination and compliance with government regulations.
- Perform user surveys and analyse business process performance, offering insights and recommendations to enhance AML and financial crime prevention measures.
Requirements:
- Baseline Clearance is a MUST HAVE
- Government experience as a Business Analyst is heavily preferred
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in government projects, with a strong preference for experience in anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime domains.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to gather, organise, and analyse complex information, particularly within the regulatory context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively conveying complex concepts and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with legislative reforms and regulatory compliance projects is highly advantageous.

Note: This position is temporary for an initial period of 3 months until the end of the financial year, with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months.
