Job description

Our client is a global leader within the Energy sector seeking a seasoned Business Analyst for a 6-month renewable contract to join their expanding team. This is a very exciting opportunity based in Perth CBD, with highly innovative technology projects in the pipeline.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in business analysis, service design, and collaborating with developers on user story requirements and features.

Requirements

Business Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes to identify opportunities for improvement & technological innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements.
  • Develop innovative strategies to optimise business processes.

Service Design:

  • Design and optimise services to align with business goals and customer expectations.
  • Create service blueprints for seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Implement service design methodologies to enhance user experience.

Collaborate with Developers:

  • Translate user story requirements into Proof of Concepts and actionable features with developers.
  • Forge strong partnerships with the technical team to ensure successful feature implementation.
  • Foster effective communication between business and development teams.

Discovery Work:

  • Facilitate regular discovery sessions to identify and frame up new opportunities.
  • Assess and refine user stories based on insights gathered during discovery phases.
  • Provide strategic direction to projects through insightful analysis.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated Business Analyst expertise, particularly in service design and collaboration with development teams.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and developers effectively.
  • Experience in converting user stories into actionable features, especially in discovery-driven projects.
  • Occasional on-site travel within WA, maximum of few days per month contingent upon project demands.
  • Prior experience in the Oil & Gas sector is highly advantageous.
