Job description

The ideal Business Analyst candidate should possess the following experience and specialized skills:

- Acts as a liaison between departmental customers, business representatives, and Business Information Systems to deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.
- Provides leadership in enhancing business processes through systems solutions and serves as a key partner to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Assesses customer needs, captures and documents business requirements, participates in the scoping, analysis, and design of technical solutions, and ensures proposed solutions meet business needs.
- Engages in all phases of the software product development lifecycle, including analysis, requirements gathering, design, build, test, integration, implementation, and operational support.
- Shares knowledge and promotes organizational standards for creating business analysis artifacts.
- Adheres to Agile principles and may take on Scrum Master responsibilities if required.
- Understands software systems and technology trends and can apply this knowledge to specify business requirements for software development.
- Experienced with business analysis techniques and tools, including UML, business process models, domain models, use cases, features, user stories, and test cases.
- Skilled in analyzing complex problems within large, complex business and technical environments, including scoping solutions and providing detailed documentation with traceability to other system development artifacts.
- Proficient in data analysis.
- Experienced with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Desirable Competencies: Familiarity with BABOKĀ® knowledge areas, knowledge of SQL, ability to query and analyze raw data, and experience with risk assessment and business case development.
