Business Intelligence Analytics Engineer - Data Lakehouse & Databricks
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join a high-impact digital transformation program focused on improving outcomes for children, young people, and families in Queensland. This role offers the opportunity to work on a contemporary Data Lakehouse architecture and support the delivery of scalable, insights-driven solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Design and develop data models using dbt and Data Vault 2.0 methods.
- Build and optimise data pipelines across a modern data platform.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver accessible and performant data products.
- Ensure data quality through automated monitoring and governance processes.
REQUIRED:
- 2+ years of Databricks experience in a professional setting.
- Solid background in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development.
- Experience working with Azure, Power BI (DAX, Power Query), and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong grasp of data modelling, governance, and performance optimisation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
DESIRABLE:
- Python scripting within Databricks.
- Familiarity with Data Lakehouse principles.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
