Job description
We are partnering with a globally recognised consultancy to find TWO Service Desk Engineers for a key client in the mining and energy sector.
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional on-site support services, ensuring all incidents and requests are resolved promptly and adhering to agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users for their laptops, desktops, mobiles/tablets, and BYO devices, offering both in-person and remote assistance.
- Deliver hands-on and remote troubleshooting and resolution via telephone or remote access tools.
- Perform the installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance of end-user computer devices and associated software and hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues swiftly, identifying root causes related to end-user devices to minimize any impact on users.
- Act as a point of escalation, providing second-level support for issues referred from the Service Desk.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Desk and other support teams to ensure a seamless and positive customer support experience.
- Work in partnership with infrastructure and application teams to facilitate the timely delivery of services.
- Demonstrate initiative, maintain a professional demeanor, and uphold high standards of conduct at all times.
- Undertake complex technical tasks and contribute to cross-functional projects and activities.
- May require participation to join an on-call rotation to address urgent issues after hours.
Technical and Infrastructure Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 (M365).
- Experience with ServiceNow for IT service management.
- Proficiency in Active Directory and Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Experience supporting mobile devices and tablets (Android and Apple).
- Familiarity with Intune and/or SCCM for device management.
- Competent in supporting standard and multi-function print devices.
- Understanding of workstation network configurations.
- Knowledge of fundamental networking concepts and components.
- Experience with voice communication systems.
- Familiarity with various video conferencing platforms.
