Position Title: Mobilisation & Standards Assistant Director

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and driven Assistant Director to join the Technology Services Division as part of a major national initiative to deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose ICT solutions that improve outcomes for individuals and communities.

The Mobilisation & Standards Assistant Director will lead the Scheme Platforms Mobilisation & Standards (SPMS) team. This role is instrumental in supporting programs and projects by driving capability uplift, improving delivery processes, and enabling operational efficiency through governance, resource management, and platform optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage operations for the Platforms Mobilisation & Standards (SPMS) team.

  • Strategise and lead demand planning, onboarding/offboarding, and workforce mobilisation across digital platform teams.

  • Capture and analyse workforce budgets; contribute to financial planning across the branch.

  • Provide strategic input to procurement activities and support tendering processes.

  • Champion best practices in delivery using tools such as Clarizen, Jira, and Confluence.

  • Oversee and improve SPMS capabilities by streamlining processes and uplifting project delivery standards.

  • Administer governance frameworks, risk and issue management, and produce high-quality stakeholder reports.

  • Act as a Clarizen subject matter expert, driving its development and training others in its use.

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture and provide leadership and mentoring to staff.

  • Liaise effectively with senior executives, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.

Mandatory Criteria

  1. Resource & Budget Management
    Demonstrated experience in managing resource allocation and financial oversight within a large ICT or digital program environment.

  2. Procurement Experience
    Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting and managing procurement activities in accordance with public sector or enterprise procurement frameworks.

  3. Platform Proficiency
    Demonstrated administrator-level experience with Confluence and Jira, including configuration, workflow management, and user support.

  4. Communication & Decision-Making
    Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills, with a strong track record in problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making in complex environments.
