Our client, a Local Government entity is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join their ICT team on an initial 6-month contract leading to permanency.
You will play a crucial role in enable the council to access and utilise digital solutions that are fit for purpose and secure. You will work to ensure users are empowered to access services, information, and people efficiently through innovative technology. You will contribute to the entire lifecycle of digital projects and initiatives.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and challenges.
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into clear and concise functional and non-functional specifications.
- Develop and utilise visual models such as workflow diagrams, user needs analysis, and wireframe prototypes to effectively communicate requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of digital solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical feasibility.
- Work within established project and change management frameworks to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects.
- Facilitate working meetings, ask insightful questions, and actively listen to stakeholders to gather critical information.
- Apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate information, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
- Foster positive working relationships with individuals and stakeholder groups through effective communication and engagement.
- Demonstrate the ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Develop and deliver training and knowledge transfer to ensure user adoption and understanding of new systems.
- Maintain a focus on detail and accuracy in all aspects of your work.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst, gathering and documenting requirements for digital solutions.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
- Experience in capturing information through visual modeling techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and effectively engage with stakeholders.
- Possession of a Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate.
