Job description

Our client's Digital Division requires the services of an experienced Change Manager to support the DMS Program, to develop and implement a people focused change management approach that will introduce and embed new or updated systems and ways of working across multiple teams in the department. The current scope of the DMS program incorporates the upgrade of the PowerOn Distribution Management System, an upgrade to the PowerOn Mobile switching application and enabling the transition of SCADA out of the ABB MasterStation into PowerOn.

The Change Manager will be accountable to:

  • Apply the change management framework within the context of the Digital Transformation portfolio delivery methodology to enable successful implementation and embedding of change initiatives within the department.
  • Develop and manage the detailed change plan as an integrated part of the project plan.
  • Deliver all elements of the stakeholder analysis, change analysis and planning, and communications, in collaboration with the DMS Learning Lead and wider Business Enablement Team.
  • Develop a business readiness action plan that addresses the identified impacts and delivers outcomes for the initiative.
  • Assess and determine business and implementation readiness at various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with GM Sponsors and other business stakeholders to effectively identify, prioritise and manage change impacts and to ensure the right engagement is occurring to support readiness objectives.
  • Work with the Program and Project Manager to proactively identify and own change related risks / issues and prepare mitigation plans for them.
  • Prepare the reporting of the change management activities summary for the Program Steering committee and other audiences.

To ensure a consistent and seamless change experience for our people:

  • Coordinate the delivery of the identified change and readiness activities, across the Program changes and in coordination with other changes managed by the Business Enablement Team (where relevant).
  • Ensure that the holistic view of change exists for lifespan of the project.
  • Drive and support the development of change artefacts to support the project release/s.
  • Collaborate effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across the department Limited in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to health, safety and environment and support a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and practices.
