Job description

Our client is a large Queensland government department who are looking for a Change Manager to join them on an initial 8 month contract + extensions on offer. This role is based in Brisbane CBD + flexible WFH on offer.

The Role:

  • Lead change management activities in relation to the Project, a large scale digital transformation initiative.
  • Provide change management support as needed to the Resource Management and Systems team.
  • Develop change management strategies and plans based on the enterprise framework and work with key internal delivery partners to ensure effectiveness of activities.
  • Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
  • Develop and manage the ongoing implementation and refinement of key outputs such as (but not limited to): stakeholder assessment/analysis, change impact analysis, readiness assessments, risk assessments, leadership coaching plans, resistance plans, change toolkits, transition plans, training and development plans, training material, communications plans, artefacts, and learning reference material.

Requirements:

  • Significant demonstrated experience and knowledge of applying change management principles and methodologies in a Queensland Government environment.
  • Proven experience in driving large organisation-wide change efforts and cultural shifts.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing changes associated with developing and implementing new digital-enabled services, transition from legacy platforms, and achieving successful adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working by internal and external stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
  • Understanding of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle, especially Prince 2 methodology.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and applying change management.
