Job description

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer that will be responsible for developing and integrating software and Cloud-native platforms using Agile Software Development Methodology (SDM). This role involves designing, building, integrating, delivering, and documenting software capabilities, as well as supporting, maintaining, and enhancing existing software.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, integrate, deliver, and document software capabilities to meet business requirements.
  • Support, maintain, and enhance existing software, ensuring application availability.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures.
  • Document technical processes in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and promote bi-directional knowledge transfer within a team environment.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated competence in software development (Other programming experience will also be considered).
  2. Demonstrated competence with Go and/or similar experience with other languages.
  3. Demonstrated competence using public Cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  4. Proven ability to work in a team environment and contribute ideas.
  5. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder requirement collection and development

Desirable Criteria:

  1. Experience working within an agile team.

Security Clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 2 clearance.

Working Arrangements:

  • Full-time role, 5 days per week, up to 40 hours per week.
  • Canberra-based role, with consideration for interstate candidates.
  • Remote working arrangements negotiable on a case-by-case basis.

Estimated Start Date: Monday, 03 June 2024

Initial Contract Duration: 12 months

Extension Term: 12 months (with the possibility of 2 extensions)
