Communications Manager, Education
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Communications Manager to join clients Member Education team which is part Customer & Growth team.
The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver a market leading education program that engages our members and contributes to their retention - by supporting and encouraging them to better understand and take action on their super and optimise their retirement outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the end-to-end development and delivery of our member education webinar and seminar program - including concept development, writing and managing member engagement materials, executive and guest speaker management, scripting, slide and video content development, business wide approvals, and reporting and measurement.
- Managing communications aspects of large-scale member engagement events like the Annual Members' meeting - including development and implementation of a multi-channel member engagement campaign, content development such as drafting executive speeches and scripting, slides, briefing notes and working with executive SMEs to develop Q&A panel responses and other support materials.
- Working with our Workplace Education Managers to develop education materials and content to support workplace education activity for our largest key clients.
- Writing and developing educational content including fact sheets, articles, web content, and videos.
- Delivering insights on client and member education needs and driving innovation and improvements in the program to increase its reach and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in superannuation education and communications and content development, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for creating impactful and customer-centric materials. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience
- 7+ years broad based communications and / or member education experience.
- Proven track record in developing and delivering strategies and communications programs.
- 5+ years financial services / superannuation experience including sound knowledge of the superannuation environment and regulations.
- Experience within a large integrated marketing team and working with corporate super relationship management teams (desirable).
Skills
(general and technical)
- Superior communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convert the technical to the simple
- Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
- Client and customer focus, delivers results, builds relationships, exercises sound judgment
- Strong problem solver, with the ability to judge and manage competing priorities
- Sound influencing skills and ability to adapt communication style to meet different audience needs or to appeal to others whose support is important
