Job description
My client is searching for a Senior Data Business Analyst with a data background to assist with their ongoing alignment of data management policies, frameworks and standards.
This role is based on the facilitation and engagement of various stakeholders to understand what the critical data elements for that particular business process are.
The team will also develop data quality rules and will remediate any data quality issues (i.e. what's the root cause, have there been any business impacts, etc).
Your responsibilities:
- Elicit requirements using techniques such as workshops, document analysis and business process requirements
- Understand and identify critical data versus non-critical data
- Review of data analysis, business processes, data ETL, data quality management and monitoring risk & controls assessments
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to evaluate requirements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience as a BA within a data-driven context (i.e. understanding data flows, pipelines, ETL tools, etc)
- Understand how to perform basic SQL queries
- Prior experience with Ab Initio is advantageous but not required
- Experience in eliciting and documenting user requirements
- Ability to develop technical requirements from abstract briefs and prepare high-quality documentation
