Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of your role as the EUC Administrator you will be responsible for
- Reviewing and improving our EUC processes and environment by:
o Driving automation and striving for zero-touch deployment
o Implementing the best fit for purposes solutions
o Proactively increasing our device availability and reducing amount of device failures
- Developing and documenting the procedures and methodologies for our:
o Asset lifecycle management
o Endpoint and mobile device management systems
- Procuring, testing and implementing new EUC devices, systems, technologies and solutions
- Ensuring the maintenance and optimisation of our:
o EUC assets
o Virtual desktop environment
o Endpoint and mobile device management systems
o Operating system images
o Configuration items
- Handing over support of the devices to the IT Operations Team ready for the production environment
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in deploying and supporting Windows and applications in an enterprise environment
- Medium to advanced level experience with automating manual processes
- Knowledge and experience in an enterprise-grade endpoint management system such as VMware Workspace One, Microsoft Configuration Manager, or IBM BigFix, VMware Horizon
- Packaging and deployment of applications and patches, managing and supporting a Windows based SOE/MOE
- Troubleshooting system, application and deployment issues
- Broad knowledge on the hardware and software components in end user computing
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
- Experience with enterprise-grade Endpoint and Mobile Device Management tools
- Experience with managing Thin Client hardware
- Understanding of ITIL deployment and release processes
