Job description

We currently need a Human Resources Specialist to give advice and governance on the development, implementation, and evaluation of role descriptions. You will be ensuring compliance, quality for future structures.

Reporting into the Manager People Partnerships, this role contributes to strategies, tools and systems for role design and role descriptions to meet ongoing needs of the department.

Key accountabilities:

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of systems and tools to develop robust role descriptions
  • Provide guidance and services to support organisational design, role design and the development of role descriptions.
  • Provide specialist advice and assistance on the requirements of role descriptions including review and recommendations to build internal capability
  • Conduct peer reviews and/or quality checks on the evaluation of role descriptions in line with industry standards to ensure accuracy and organisational consistency
  • Support training, and coach stakeholders to apply a standard approach to role design and the development of role descriptions, identifying opportunities for improvements to deliver a consistent quality product that meets current and future talent needs

Desirable:

  • Previous NSW government experience (Would be nice)
  • Min 4 years in a similar position
  • Advanced MS Suite (Word and Excel)
  • Any job description library categorisation tools ie Mercer or SAP (VERY NICE TO HAVE).
