Location: Western Australia (WA Office)
Industry: Mining / Industrial / Resources
Employment Type: 6-month contract

We're seeking an Industrial Network Engineer to work on industrial networking projects across the design, build, commissioning, and operational phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, stage, test, and support industrial network projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Deliver high-quality consulting and technical services to clients.
  • Execute and implement changes in complex network and infrastructure environments with precision.

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years' experience in Industrial Network Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with network configuration and implementation in the Mining, Resources, or Industrial sectors.
  • Cisco experience is essential. Experience with any of the following is highly desirable: Ruggedcom, Hirschmann / Connexium, Moxa, Stratix.

Technical Expertise

  • TCP/IP Process Control Systems Networks (Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP)
  • Layer 2 and 3 switching and routing
  • Firewalls / Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Redundant communications (RSTP, MRP, REP)
  • Network Architecture Design
  • Wireless networking, routing & switching
  • Network Management Systems (NMS)
  • Quality of Service (QoS)
  • Software Defined Networking (SDN)
  • LTE Networking
  • CCTV & VoIP systems
  • Hyper-V / VMware technologies
  • Dell network architectures

Desired Skills

  • Sound understanding of Australian Standards and industry conventions, particularly within the Mining or Ports sectors.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Confident communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Practical site-based experience, particularly in commissioning and fault-finding of industrial network systems.
